We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the refurbishment at our Goondiwindi property in Queensland – representing our steadfast commitment to continually enhance our buildings for the benefit of all tenants.

Originally constructed in 2010, as part of the Castlerock Services Australia Fund, the Goondiwindi building is home to Services Australia, a long-standing tenant who recently reaffirmed its commitment with a new seven-year lease, extending their occupancy until at least 2030. A lease extension that solidifies Services Australia’s confidence in Castlerock’s ability to meet their evolving needs over the lease duration.

Our enduring partnership with Services Australia underscores Castlerock's dedication to delivering modern work environments to meet the needs of tenants. The recent refurbishment project focused on elevating both the aesthetics and functionality of the building, highlighting our proactive approach to property management. A high-level scope of works included the installation of new carpeting, interior and exterior painting, as well as the installation of energy-efficient LED lighting, and a 12.6kw solar system. All contributing to the building’s 5-star NABERS rating.

Reflecting on the project’s completion, Castlerock's Head of Property, Naomi Waters stated “Our client’s needs are always evolving and we will continue to adapt to provide ‘fit for purpose’ accommodation’.

With an extensive portfolio comprising 20 government-leased properties, Castlerock demonstrates a proven capability to cater to diverse geographic locations, ranging from regional centres such as South Hedland in Western Australia to the Tasmanian capital of Hobart.

This geographical diversity speaks to Castlerock's adaptability and commitment to meeting the differing requirements of its clients across various regions.

Located on the NSW-Queensland border and best known as the home of Gunsynd – the “Goondiwindi Grey” won the 1972 Cox Plate – Goondiwindi is home to approximately 6,500 people.

Services Australia plays a pivotal role in the community, delivering essential services to residents such as Centrelink, Medicare, and Child Support.

The Goondiwindi refurbishment project exemplifies Castlerock's ongoing dedication to creating dynamic and innovative workplace environments that foster collaboration, productivity, and employee well-being.
